Leadership locks the Q2 roadmap in a Decided record. Six months later, a new hire reads it on day one and knows exactly who chose what, why, and when.
Immutable decision records your team can find in twelve months
Decide turns dialogue into a paper trail. Every record carries the same shape (context, decision, action) and the same rule: once it’s decided, it can’t be edited. If reality changes, supersede with a new record.
- Every record has the same three parts: what was happening, what we chose, who does what next.
- Lifecycle stamped automatically. Drafts move through discussion, voting, decided, broadcast.
- Roll-call vote audit on every record, with optional rationale per voter.
Adopt a 4-day work week pilot for Q2
Q4 pulse showed persistent burnout. Output flat under compression.
12-week pilot from April 1. Fridays off + rotating on-call.
Marcus drafts rota by Mar 7. Priya updates handbook.
Three things Decide gets right.
Context, Decision, Action: the only three sections
Every record has the same three sections. The Context names the situation in plain prose. The Decision states what was agreed in active voice. The Action names a person, a date, and a verifiable outcome.

Lifecycle stamps each transition
Draft, In discussion, Voting, Decided, Broadcast, On hold. Every transition is timestamped and attributed. The lifecycle bar shows where the record is at a glance.
Vote audit + rationale, every time
For each voter: choice, timestamp, and an optional rationale. Visible to everyone in the deciding group. No after-the-fact rewriting.

How teams use it.
Every motion is a Decision record with a roll-call vote. Auditors can pull the immutable archive and verify governance compliance in minutes.
Questions about Decide
What is an immutable decision record?
A record that cannot be edited once it reaches the Decided stage. The text, the vote, and the action are locked. To change a decision, you supersede it with a new record. The original stays readable forever.
How does decision supersession work?
Open the original record and click Supersede. OneSpot drafts a new record that links to the original. When the new record reaches Decided, both pages show the chain: a clear history of how the org's thinking evolved.
Who can finalize a decision?
Anyone in the deciding group, by default. The group's settings can require a quorum or a specific approver (e.g. Executive Director sign-off) before the record can move to Decided.
Can I export the decision archive?
Yes. Executives can export the full archive as a tamper-evident PDF or CSV at any time. Common for board reporting and compliance reviews.
